The Phillies have bolstered their pitching staff with the addition of RHP Bryse Wilson. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Wilson has signed a contract with the team. Wilson, who will turn 28 next week, brings valuable experience and versatility to the Phillies' rotation. Last season, he appeared in 20 games for the Chicago White Sox, starting five and posting a 6.65 ERA in 47 1/3 innings. At the Triple-A Charlotte level, Wilson pitched 48 1/3 innings, finishing with a 4.25 ERA in 18 appearances, including eight starts. His ability to start and relieve makes him a versatile asset. Wilson's best season in the majors came in 2023 with the Milwaukee Brewers, where he had a 2.58 ERA in 53 games. He has also pitched for the Atlanta Braves, the team that originally drafted him, and has a total of 163 major-league games under his belt, with 57 starts and a 4.82 ERA in 461 innings. The Phillies' acquisition of Wilson provides much-needed depth to their pitching staff.
