Inspired by Janice Hadlow's highly praised novel, the drama shines a spotlight on Mary Bennet, the often-ignored middle sister among the Bennet family in Austen's beloved tale. For those new to the story, Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel set in early 19th-century England, focusing on manners, marriage, and social hierarchy in a world where a woman's prospects often hinged on securing a good match. As previously shared, Ella Bruccoleri, known for her roles in Call the Midwife and Bridgerton, takes the lead as Mary Bennet. Joining her are Richard E. Familiar landmarks from Pride and Prejudice, such as the Meryton Assembly Ball and the Netherfield Ball—grand events where dances, conversations, and glances could alter lives forever—make appearances, bringing the era's glamour and tension to life under sparkling chandeliers.
